The Skidderoon is two tools in one.
Without the cable, it is effectively a Hookeroon. Attach the cable, and it becomes a hookeroon with skidding capabilities (The Skidderoon). Loop the cable around a bundle of loose limbs, branches, or brush, cinch it with the handle, and drag the whole load in one trip. Tree cleanup and land clearing without all the hassle.
The cable assembly removes in seconds when you don't need it. For 20 extra dollars, the upgrade from the Hookeroon to the Skidderoon is a no-brainer if you will ever be clearing, gathering, or simply moving limbs and brush around.
